Ted 2

eth MacFarlane's Ted was one of the biggest breakout comedies of 2012 and both he and his co-star Mark Wahlberg have already been on record that they plan to continue the adventure of Bostonian John Bennett and his foul-mouthed talking teddy bear Ted. MacFarlane is busy working on his comedic Western follow-up A Million Ways to Die in the West , which is scheduled for May 30, 2014, and in which the "Family Guy" creator co-stars with Charlize Theron, Amanda Seyfried, Giovanni Ribisi and Liam Neeson, but he took to Twitter to announce the planned release date for his next movie after that, which will be the anticipated sequel currently known as Ted 2 .

Ted 2 is set for an April 2015 release, Seth MacFarlane has confirmed.
The Family Guy creator, who wrote and voiced the lead character of Ted in the first movie, revealed on Twitter that the sequel should be in cinemas around Passover, which will fall in early April in 2015.
MacFarlane revealed the news when responding to a fan's question about when the movie will be unveiled.

Mark Wahlberg is quite a busy guy, and his schedule doesn’t seem to be slowing down any time soon. The actor hit the comedy jackpot this summer in Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane’s feature directorial debut Ted, which already has a sequel in the works, and he’s also poised to delve into franchise fare as the lead in Michael Bay’s upcoming Transformers 4. Steve recently got to interview Wahlberg in anticipation of the upcoming political thriller Broken City, and the actor gave updates on Transformers 4 and a sequel to Ted.

“We’re shooting Transformers in May, and then I believe we’re gonna do Ted 2 right after. They’re working on it now and we’ve kind of gone through the negotiation process. The great thing about it is Seth’s ideas for the second one are sick. He comes from the world of episodic television so he knows how to tell the stories, man, in a way that most people don’t, like for instance The Italian Job we’ve been trying to do the sequel for 10 years. He’s a different kind of guy.”

MacFarlane recently committed to directing and starring in the live-action Western comedy A Million Ways to Die in the West as his next project, with production set to begin next summer. Filming on the Transformers sequel will likely last a few months, so it’s conceivable that both Wahlberg and MacFarlane could be free to film the Ted follow-up late next fall or next winter.
